AIN NVR is designed to work with any camera that supports RTSP protocols. This includes a wide range of popular brands and models, as the software is built to be hardware-agnostic. Supported brands include but not limited to Hikvision, Reolink, Amcrest, Dahua, Uniview and TP-Link.
AIN NVR supports an unlimited number of cameras per server in terms of software licensing. Unlike many competitors, we do not charge per-camera fees or have a hard-coded channel limit in the software.
However, the practical limit is determined by your computer's hardware, specifically the CPU and GPU, as AI detection of objects is run locally.
- Up to ~8 cameras: Minimum requirement of an Intel Core i5 / Ryzen 5 (8th gen+) with 8 GB RAM and a GPU with 4 GB VRAM.
- Up to ~32 cameras: Recommended setup of an Intel Core i7 / Ryzen 7 or better, 16 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX / AMD RX GPU with 8 GB VRAM.
- 64+ cameras: High-density setup requiring an Intel Core i9 / Ryzen 9 or Xeon, 32 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3080+ or 4070+ for full AI processing.
All the recordings are stored locally. The pro version allows you to backup events and their videos to the cloud with up to 10 GB of storage. More storage space can be purchased if needed.
